What's with the police chief situation? I saw that we made the paper...bad publicity for the town really. I can't remember if I read it on nwaonline.com or nwarktimes.com but the main point of the article said that Elkins has received many applications but Ladyman is so far behind that by the time he makes a decision, it is likely that the applicants will have found another job! One of the reasons my husband and I looked so hard for a house in Elkins was because it seems like a pretty tightly patrolled community.
