City of Elkins holds Christmas event in the Park
Hometown Christmas
The City of Elkins will be holding its 1st annual Hometown Christmas in Bunch Park on Saturday, December 9th. Celebration will begin with a tree lighting ceremony at 6:00pm followed by live music provided by Kyla Horton, Elkins School Chior, and local churches. A live nativity and snacks/refreshments served by Elkins Girl Scouts will add to the festivities. And don't forget Santa! He will be there to visit with all the kiddies. Bring your cameras!
The tree that will be lit is the Community Christmas Tree! We encourage everyone to bring an ornament and hang it on the tree starting Monday, December 4th and until that Saturday, December 9th at 6:00pm. Ornaments can be with family names, in memory of or just because. Our Christmas Tree was donated by Green Country in memory of their late son. We greatly appreciate their donation.
Help us make this a true "Hometown Christmas!" If you have any questions, would like to donate any decorations, cookies, or your time, please call City Hall at 643-3400 or Angie at 200-4054.
