Pizza Junction Celebrates
20 years in Elkins!
The City of Elkins Parks & Recreation Committee and Mayor Jack Ladyman are proud to announce the final approvals have been granted for the 2006 Outdoor grant Park Improvement Plan.
New playground surfacing has been ordered for the area around the play equipment and will be replacing the sand under the swings. The Parks & Rec Committee will also be adding 4 paved handicap parking spots at the entrance to the park (by the stage) and lastly, but most excitingly, they will be adding a fuil-sized basketball court!
Bids have been received for the concrete work; however, a date in which the project will be completed has not been announced. The Mayor reported that the project should be completed (weather permitting) by the end of 2006.
For questions about this project, future projects, or how you can help with the Elkins Parks & Recreation Committee, contact Mayor Jack Ladyman at Elkins City Hall 479-643-3400 or complete a contact us form.
